Poor Performing Trainer and Jockey Alert Reports
Information to help you decide
who you should NOT bet on, is
just as important as information to help you
decide who you
should bet on. Many would argue that its more important, and
quite frankly we tend to agree in some cases.
We've added one additional daily report to each of the
supported tracks. The naming convention for this report
is trkMDDp1.txt. Each report can contain from one to three
Alerts...
Poor Performing Trainers - This Alert will communicate when
a trainer is performing very poorly for specific characteristics,
such as Recency > 30 days, Sprint-to-Route, Best Speed Rating,
Best Record, etc... The source for this alert is the daily
"trnr" report.
Poor Performing Jockeys - As with the Trainers, this Alert will
communicate when a Jockey is performing very poorly for specific
characteristics. The source for this alert is the daily
"jock" report.
Poor Performing Trainer/Jockey Matchup - This Alert will
communicate
when a Trainer/Jockey Matchup is performing very poorly. The
source
for this alert is the daily "jock" report.
For instance, let's say you are thinking about betting on a horse
that has
been idle for more than 30 days. You look on the
MMDDpoor.<trk>
report for that track and day and find that the Trainer in
question is on the report. Under the characteristic "Recency
> 30 days" you see that
the trainer has saddled 15 horses and has won 0 times at this
Meet.
Would you still want to bet on this horse? Maybe not!
