Is there such a thing as "Smart Money"?
It is defined as money being put down on a horse because
some people "know" something no one else does.
Enough money is put down on a horse which is
driving the odds of the horse well below the
morning line odds.

Thoroughbred Research Center embarked on a project
to identify situations where "smart money" may be in play.

We found that each race track, and even each race type
within each track, may have a different set of criteria
for identifying these unique "smart money" situations.
